Manufacturer & Exporter of Forged Fittings — Threaded Fittings | Socket Weld Fittings | Branch Outlets
Forged socket weld half coupling in Stainless Steel 304/316, Duplex Steel and Super Duplex Steel — one SW socket, one plain weld face, manufactured to ASME B16.11.
The Socket Weld Half Coupling is a single-socket forged fitting used to create a branch connection on a pipe, vessel wall, tank shell or header. One end features a precision-machined socket weld bore that accepts the branch pipe. The opposite end is a plain face designed for direct butt-welding onto the run pipe or vessel wall, forming a permanent, fully welded branch assembly.
Unlike a full coupling, the half coupling has only one socket, making it the fitting of choice for creating branch nozzles and instrument tapping points on piping systems and pressure vessels. The fitting is also used as a weld-on boss where a threaded or socket-weld instrument connection is required on a vessel or tank nozzle.
All half couplings are forged in one piece, ensuring an integral, full-strength body at the critical socket-to-face junction. The socket bore is machined to ASME B16.11 tolerances and the plain face is machined flat and perpendicular to the socket axis, ready for direct welding.
“L” = Overall length from socket opening face to plain weld face. Socket bore and depth are per ASME B16.11 for the respective NPS. All dimensions in millimetres.

Dimensions are nominal per ASME B16.11 latest edition. O.D. at plain face varies with pressure class. All dimensions in millimetres.
Widely used for chemical, water treatment, pharmaceutical and food industry branch connections. SS 316 preferred where resistance to chloride pitting and marine atmosphere corrosion is required.
High-strength duplex alloy for offshore platforms, desalination plant nozzles and pressure vessel branch connections where chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking must be prevented.
Premium super duplex with PREN greater than 40 for seawater service nozzles, subsea vessel connections and highly corrosive chemical plant branch points requiring the highest corrosion resistance.

Welded directly onto the shell of pressure vessels, storage tanks and reactors to provide a socket weld branch nozzle for pipe connection, level gauges or instrument tapping.
Creating small-bore branches on large-diameter headers where a weld-on half coupling with a socket is more economical and compact than a full olet fitting or a fabricated branch assembly.
Weld-on boss for pressure gauges, temperature elements, sample valves and flow instruments where a permanently welded, corrosion-resistant connection is required on a process pipeline.
Adding drain, vent and purge branch connections on process lines and piping circuits, particularly in corrosive service where Duplex or Super Duplex Steel half couplings are specified.
